This Position reports to: Channel Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement the defined channel sales strategy in specified market scope (global/regional) in an effective manner to improve ABB’s market penetration and achieve its growth aspirations in the assigned channel. Each day, you will execute channel sales strategies and initiatives within the assigned market, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for the assigned channel, in a profitable way with a focus on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a critical contributor to the sales customer base growth for the assigned channel.

This role is contributing to the {Building Automation and home solutions business within the Electrification Smart buildings division} based in {Dubai, UAE}.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Drives sales volume and profitability by promoting ABB building automation and home solutions portfolio including ABB KNX portfolio/solutions including but not limited to Lighting control systems, GRMS, home automation solution, BMS HVAC control solutions, wireless home automation, door intercom systems, and wiring accessories range to customers and system integrators, aligned with business targets.
  • Build strong customer relationships with stakeholders such as developers, operators, and partners to understand needs, deliver tailored solutions, and ensure a positive experience throughout the sales cycle.
  • Executes and implements the agreed channel sales strategy within the approved budget using tools like Salesforce, monitors performance, and implements recovery strategies to meet order goals.
  • Creates offers and proposals for channel partners in line with broader sales offers and strategies
  • Report the progress on channel strategies, plans, and budgets to the channel/sales Manager.
  • Supports in the evaluation/certification and training of channel partners.
  • Identifies and evaluate channel partners as per agreed ABB policies and standards), in coordination with the Channel or Sales Manager.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechatronics engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in Building Automation, and BMS sales and UAE market expertise and a strong ability to communicate the value of energy efficiency solutions.
  • Technically aware of home automation/BMS protocols including KNX, Zigbee, , Matter, BACnet, , Modbus, and TCP/IP with a track record of developing effective channel strategies for system integrators.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator, skilled in customer engagement, handling complex discussions, and working cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and operations
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Positive attitude, team player, and self-motivated
  • KNX certification is a plus.
  • Arabic speaking is a plus.
