Our client is a dynamic global enterprise based in the UAE.
For over four decades they have delivered impactful solutions across diverse sectors, including petroleum trading, logistics, auto spare parts, solar energy distribution, and agro‑strategic commodities.
We are seeking a highly capable Wheat & Grains Trader with a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in the physical trading of wheat, grains, and agricultural commodities.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience dealing with suppliers, producers, traders, and exporters across CIS countries and a proven ability to develop and manage trade flows across global markets including the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and execute trades for wheat, barley, corn, soybeans, oilseeds, and other grain products.
- Build and manage a profitable trading book with focus on CIS‑origin commodities.
- Conduct commercial evaluations including pricing, freight, logistics, quality parameters, and margin optimization.
- Monitor global market fundamentals, supply–demand dynamics, weather impacts, and geopolitical developments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with CIS suppliers, exporters, farmers, grain elevators, and logistics operators.
- Negotiate supply volumes, pricing formulas, Incoterms, and quality specifications.
- Build and maintain relationships with mills, feed producers, importers, and key buyers across MENA, Africa, and Asia.
- Draft, negotiate, and review purchase and sales contracts under GAFTA/FOSFA and Incoterms.
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, shipping, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Supervise loading operations, inspection, fumigation, and quality control processes.
- Manage all documentation including BLs, phytosanitary certificates, COO, quality reports, and trade finance documents.
- Track daily P&L, positions, exposures, and market risks and maintain accurate reporting.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in wheat, grains, or agricultural commodities trading.
- Strong experience dealing with CIS suppliers, producers, and exporters.
- Demonstrated track record of profitable trading and market development.
- Deep understanding of global agri‑markets, supply chains, and logistics.
- Strong knowledge of GAFTA/FOSFA rules, Incoterms, quality grades, and commodity risk management.
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of Russian or Arabic is a strong added advantage.
- Strong network across CIS, MENA, Africa, and Asia.
- Experience in tenders and large‑volume supply programs.
- Ability to interpret market analytics, data trends, and trade flows.
- Familiarity with commodity trading systems and financial instruments.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast‑paced trading environments.
