Strategic & Leadership
- Develop and implement the overall planning strategy for multiple construction and real estate projects.
- Lead the planning team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Work closely with senior management to align project timelines with business objectives.
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare, review, and manage project master schedules for all ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Define project milestones, critical paths, and resource allocation using tools like Primavera (P6) and MS Project.
- Ensure integration of design, procurement, construction, and handover schedules
Monitoring & Control
- Track project progress against the baseline schedule and identify potential delays.
- Implement early warning systems and mitigation plans to keep projects on track.
- Generate periodic project progress reports (weekly/monthly) for management and stakeholders.
Cost & Resource Optimization
- Collaborate with the commercial team to align project timelines with budget and cash flow requirements.
- Ensure effective resource (manpower, equipment, and material) planning across projects.
- Support value engineering and risk management initiatives through planning insights.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with project directors, site teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure schedule adherence.
- Present schedule updates, risks, and recovery plans to management and clients.
- Act as the key point of contact for planning and scheduling issues.
Process & Systems
- Standardize planning procedures, templates, and reporting formats across the company.
- Drive digital adoption of planning and project management tools.
- Benchmark planning practices against industry best standards.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other project management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts (FIDIC, etc.), and real estate project cycles.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering / construction management (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 15–20 years of experience in project planning, out of which at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing planning functions for large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Experience in GCC/International real estate projects (preferred).
