Overview Of The Role

The Patient Relations Executive is integral to providing comprehensive operational support to patients, enhancing the overall experience at the healthcare facility. This role involves handling medical insurance processes, billing, customer service, and cash management with efficiency and professionalism. Success is defined by the ability to seamlessly manage administrative tasks, ensuring accurate data handling, and fostering a positive patient environment. This position interacts with multiple departments, requiring strong communication and organizational skills to ensure high standards of patient care and operational excellence.

What You Will Do
Medical Insurance
  • Manage accurate flow of medical information and patient data between physicians, patients, and third-party payers.
  • Use medical coding protocol to define diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between the facility and payment parties, investigating claim details.
  • Review patient medical records.
  • Submit and track insurance claims and obtain timely approval for procedures.
  • Coordinate with medical billing specialists for accurate treatment codes.
Medical Invoicing
  • Invoice services as per agreed prices and ensure accuracy of CPT codes.
  • Receive patient treatment codes and assemble reimbursement claims.
  • Billing patients for medical services and maintaining records.
  • Organize, manage, and sort paperwork including patient charts.
  • Prepare and mail billing statements and resolve payment conflicts.
  • Investigate insurance fraud and prepare documents for legal inquiries.
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient information and perform clerical duties.
Customer Service
  • Provide a high level of customer service and interact professionally with clients.
  • Guide clinic traffic flow and maintain client appointments.
  • Assist with clinic forms documentation and ensure consent forms are complete.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and respond to urgent needs.
  • Implement process improvements and participate in safety workplace initiatives.
Cash Handling
  • Manage clinic income records and document transactions.
  • Handle cash, checks, and credit card payments, issuing receipts.
  • Ensure cash box security, reconcile cash drawers, and transfer money to accounts.
  • Create financial reports and manage payments to suppliers.
  • Obtain authorization for credit card payments and ensure refund processes are compliant.
  • Maintain cash handling knowledge and adhere to policies.
