Job summary

A travel and tourism company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Ticketing Officer to handle travel arrangements for employees. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of corporate travel experience, proficiency in AMADEUS, and exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. This role requires the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks, ensuring compliance with travel policies and maintaining accurate records of expenses. Weekend and after-hours availability is expected.

We are looking for a highly experienced Ticketing Officer to join our team at VOLO Travel & Tourism (Member of ZMI Holdings).

As a Ticketing Officer at VOLO, your main responsibility is to manage the travel & hotel bookings and arrangements for our offshore and onshore employees. The ideal candidate should have a passion for travel, having a proven working experience in a similar role and familiar with related booking systems and capable of working under pressure with no or minimum level of supervision in addition to exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and book international and domestic flight and hotel bookings for our onshore and offshore employees.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure the best rates for travel.
  • Manage inventory and pricing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Handle last‑minute travel booking, changes and cancellations.
  • Maintain records of travel expenses and ensure accurate billing and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s travel policies and budget.
  • Provide solutions to travel related problems employees may have experienced with arrangements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in travel industry of corporate travel experience working on after office hours, including weekends.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism and hospitality.
  • AMADEUS experience required, NDC knowledge is a plus
  • Skilled in ticket issuance/re‑issuance, refunds and end-to-end travel arrangements.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate travel policies and destination management.
  • Candidates should possess decisive and successful problem‑solving skills, be detail‑oriented and have effective communication skills, and ability of quick turnaround of urgent business‑related requests.
  • Geography and international destination knowledge are a must.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with airline industry standards, including fare structure and travel regulations.
