Job summary

A leading outsourcing company in the United Arab Emirates is looking for a Technician (EPP) specializing in UPS and generators. The role involves operating and maintaining critical systems, leading battery testing, and conducting routine inspections. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in UPS, DC, generators, and power systems. This is an outsourced position with a contract of 6 months, offering a salary range of AED 3000-5000 and requires immediate joiners.

  • Proficiency in conducting routine inspections and maintenance.
  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis for power-related issues.

Job description:
  • Operate and maintain a wide range of critical systems, including UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies), DC Power Plants, Standby Generators, and LV (Low Voltage) Distribution Panels.
  • Lead the Annual DC Plant & UPS Battery Load Testing (Discharge Testing) to verify capacity and ensure the systems meet IEEE standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections, impedance testing, and maintenance of Battery Systems (VRLA/Flooded) to identify and replace failing cells proactively.
  • Act as a first responder for any power-related alarms or system failures, performing root-cause analysis and restoring power safely.
  • Proficiency with load banks, multi-meters, infrared thermal cameras, and battery impedance testers.
  • Ability to maintain accurate maintenance logs, load test reports, and updated electrical one-line diagrams.
