Job description
Job Purpose

Responsible for all electro-mechanical assemblies, testing, and maintenance in the Drilling Services Division.

Key Accountabilities
  • Troubleshoots, tests, assembles, disassembles and performs visual inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Assists in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment.
  • Performs complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction and documentation.
  • Identifies and communicates technical problems by using logical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Provide coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence.
  • Breaks down and redresses a variety of oilfield tools and reassembles them in preparation for their next assignment.
  • Ensures supplied equipment is compatible with all other equipment used for job.
  • Uses experience and knowledge of applications to ensure products and services are of highest quality.
  • Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
  • Performs other similar or related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

  • Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures, to accomplish operational objectives.
Training
  • Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.
Tool Box
  • Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
  • Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.
Time Management
  • Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
  • Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
  • Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Division in line with international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices and to ensure integrity and safety of assets.
Housekeeping
  • Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.
Reports
  • Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
  • Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.
Communications & Working Relationships
  • Internal – Daily contact with Supervisor, AMO.
  • External – None.

  • High School Diploma.

  • 4 years’ maintenance related experience in a mechanical function or other relevant industrial experience (airline, military, oilfield, automotive).
  • Working knowledge of Forklift, Crane, and Torque Machine Operations.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
  • Fully conversant with company standards and operational procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of spoken and written English.
