Job summary

A global engineering firm is seeking a Technical Safety Engineer in Abu Dhabi to ensure compliance with safety regulations and assess risks. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, with at least five years of experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas sector. Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong FEED and Pre-FEED experience in offshore projects.
  • Experience in mega project developments.

Responsibilities

  • Identify hazards and implement control measures to prevent accidents.
  • Develop programs to instill a strong safety mindset.
  • Conduct HAZOP analyses for safety enhancement.
  • Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken.

The key objectives for this role are :
  • Identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing control measures to prevent accidents.
  • Developing programs and policies to instill a strong safety mindset across the organization.
  • Conducting analyses like HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) to enhance safety in design and operations.
  • Investigating safety incidents and ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.

Expected :
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering / Loss Prevention / Environmental or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of five (5+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore / Onshore Oil & Gas industry
  • Must have strong FEED, Pre-FEED experience in Offshore projects, whilst ADNOC experience is desired
  • Chartered Engineer or recognized equivalent experience is an added advantage
  • Expert in own discipline knowledge requirements to provide support to the business
  • Experience of working on concept & FEED project phases
  • Have involvement in Conceptual studies for Fields developments projects
  • Experience in mega projects developments
