Job summary

A leading regional construction firm in Dubai seeks a qualified individual to review contract documents, prepare construction materials, and ensure compliance with project specifications. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and have at least 3 years of experience, ideally in industrial projects. Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD is essential. This position emphasizes collaboration with various teams to facilitate successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial projects is considered an added advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Review contract documents and prepare the material and shop drawing registers.
  • Ensure compliance of project scope and drawings with contract documents.
  • Coordinate with the planner and Project Manager to define submission priorities.
  • Work closely with designers to resolve design-related concerns.
  • Compile documents necessary for building permit applications.
  • Support the procurement team in preparing bid packages.
  • Review design drawings and raise technical queries in discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with the MEP technical team for clash-free designs.
  • Supervise Revit operators and review models.
  • Collaborate with construction team for site execution.
  • Oversee preparation and distribution of issued-for-construction drawings.
  • Review and submit material submittals and respond to comments.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors for shop drawings and submissions.
  • Notify Project Manager of work beyond contracted scope.

Role Responsibilities
  • Review contract documents and prepare the material and shop drawing registers.
  • Ensure that the project scope, submittals, drawings, and design comply with contract documents, addendums, value engineering proposals, and technical queries.
  • Coordinate with the planner and Project Manager to define submission priorities and timelines.
  • Work closely with designers to address and resolve design-related concerns, particularly for design‑and‑build projects.
  • Compile all required documents and drawings necessary for building permit applications.
  • Support the procurement team in preparing bid packages for civil and architectural items, including compliance statements.
  • Review design drawings and raise technical queries in cases of discrepancies.Ensure that all drawings meet authority regulations and requirements.
  • Coordinate with the MEP technical team to ensure clash‑free designs.
  • Supervise Revit operators assigned to the project, and review models and generated drawings.
  • Collaborate with the construction team by providing clarifications and additional details to facilitate site execution.
  • Oversee timely preparation and distribution of Issued‑for‑Construction (IFC) drawings.
  • Review and submit material submittals, and respond to consultant and client comments promptly.
  • Coordinate and follow up with key subcontractors for shop drawings, material submittals, and sample submissions.
  • Notify the Project Manager of any work requested beyond the contracted scope and support the Cost Control team with variation orders when required.
Educational Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience; Previous experience in industrial projects is considered an added advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD
