In this role, your key responsibilities include
  • Manage the trade asset portfolio in line with trade finance policy manual and international guidelines, including processing and monitoring transactions, to ensure they are in compliance with the Bank’s policies and processes, adhering to trade finance policy, standard operating procedures, credit terms and conditions and international rules on trade products to the required standard.
  • Advise and provide transactional based expertise to the business to ensure accurate and timely conduct in accordance with International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) guidelines and Bank procedures and policies.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships and connections with local and international Banks to ensure accuracy and timely conduct of trade transactions.
  • Support the manager to ensure the team achieves its objectives to the required standard and all transactions are completed accurately within the agreed timeframes.
  • Produce required reports for Management Information Systems (MIS) reviews with the risk and finance teams in line with the agreed standard.
  • Maintain records and information related to the transactions and reconciliation of accounts to ensure they are in line with the Banks standards.
  • Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximize own and employee contribution to business performance.
  • Organize and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems.
The ideal candidate should have the following experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in Trade Finance products, with at least 2 years work experience of leading a small team
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Accounting or equivalent
  • Banking specialization from the Institute of Financial Services like Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS), Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees (URDG), Certificate in International Trade and Finance (CITF) governed by International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) or equivalent
  • Technical knowledge of trade related products
  • Knowledge of Banking and accounting systems
  • Solution finding, problem solving
