Job summary

A financial institution in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to implement and manage their Health & Safety systems. The ideal candidate will conduct risk assessments, ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, and deliver training to employees. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and an NEBOSH qualification are essential, along with up to 1 year of relevant experience. This is a full-time position with no remote work options.

Qualifications

  • Recognized qualification in Health & Safety, such as NEBOSH or NVQ.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Health & Safety, or Quality Management.
  • Lead Auditor qualification in Health & Safety management system (ISO 45001) is essential.
  • Basic First Aid training is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify workplace hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety standards.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and education on health & safety practices.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets for activities.
  • Participate in accident/incident investigations and analyses.
