Storekeeper - NE1 CSP Plant performs a variety of shipping/receiving, stocking activities; stores and distributes supplies and equipment; maintains inventory and stock records; may serve as a lead worker to other classified staff in the area; and perform related work as required.
Technical
- Maintain inventory for plant supplies including ordering, receiving, and allocating.
- Prepare and type annual requisitions, orders, reports, and correspondence.
- Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders; process and distribute documentation with purchase orders; report damages and discrepancies on orders received.
- Post daily incoming and outgoing plant stock.
- Report canceled and damaged items to the purchase department as appropriate.
- Handle and document storage and transportation of hazardous materials.
- Identify, segregate, and preserve stored materials.
- Maintain the warehouse, records area, and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
- Segregate waste for proper disposal.
- Inform relevant personnel about the arrival of materials and arrange for inspection.
- Answer questions regarding procedures and resolve discrepancies related to receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs, and surplus property.
- Arrange to return non-conforming materials.
- Issue materials as per requirements and maintain records.
Health, Safety, Security & Environment
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety, security, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance.
- Monitor environmental regulatory parameters regularly and report any deviations to the Shift Supervisor/Engineer for corrective action.
Who will Fit?
- A technical certificate / Associate’s Diploma in any discipline.
- 3-5 years’ experience in the process industry, in stores or utility industry.
Skills:
- Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environment Management system principles.
- Knowledge of environmental and health impacts of chemicals stored in the warehouse.
- Knowledge of identification, handling, storing, and disposal of wastes and expired chemicals.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in all units of measure.
