Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Cost Control Engineer in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves developing and maintaining project budgets, monitoring costs, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and extensive experience in project cost control, preferably in oil & gas/EPC. Proficiency in SAP and strong analytical skills are essential. This position offers significant responsibilities contributing to major capital projects.

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years’ experience in project cost control (oil & gas/EPC preferred).
  • Professional certifications (AACEI CCP, PMP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project cost budgets and baselines.
  • Monitor actual costs, commitments, and forecasts against approved budgets.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and EAC forecasts.
  • Review and validate contractor invoices, variations, and cost-related contract items.
  • Track change requests and incorporate approved changes into project budgets.
  • Support risk reviews by identifying cost impacts and trends.
  • Ensure compliance with internal cost control procedures and audit requirements.

Overview

Title: Sr. Cost Control Engineer — Grade OCST30

The Senior Cost Control Engineer supports project financial performance by developing budgets, monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and preparing cost forecasts. The role ensures accurate and timely cost reporting to support decision‑making across major capital projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project cost budgets and baselines.
