Job description

Amazons Brand Innovation Lab is looking for a talented and passionate Conceptual Creative (Art Director) to create one‑of‑a‑kind campaigns for a wide range of brands across our MENA region and for MENA‑based brands marketing in the UK and US. You'll partner with art directors, copywriters, designers, solutions managers and producers to create first‑class customer experiences both on and offline by innovating with the Amazon canvas (Prime Video, Alexa, Twitch, etc.). You'll lead projects and own client relationships focusing on creating work that benefits the end customer while pushing the creative envelope from brief to execution. This is a perm role.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Concept design (art) and execute innovative ad campaigns and experiences for global brands.
  • Partner with copywriters, designers, program managers, developers, strategists and producers to create customer‑focused solutions that deliver on advertiser objectives.
  • Independently lead campaigns from brief to execution and collaborate with internal teams, clients and external agency partners.
  • Obsess with understanding customers and making work that delivers both innovation and results.
  • Present ideas and concepts to clients, agencies and internally.
  • Proven ability to ideate for film, print, digital, out‑of‑home, experiential and social media.
  • Manage multiple projects at once within budget and deadlines.
  • Be proactive in developing new products and ideas on behalf of the customer.
A Day in the Life

Partnering with a variety of brands, media and creative agencies to work on innovative campaigns for automotive, finance, energy and telecommunications sectors.

From designing brand experiences from documentary films in Prime Video to Alexa branded experiences you will always strive to create a never‑before‑done idea.

Presenting a campaign to brand clients and their partners in creative and media agencies.

Reviewing edits and work in progress with your partners, collecting and responding to feedback in order to meet the highest creative standards.

Work with your team on proactive projects and initiatives and bring them to life.

About the Team

The Brand Innovation Lab team is the internal group within Amazon that creates one‑of‑a‑kind campaigns and activations for global advertisers like Coca‑Cola, Visa, BMW, Microsoft, Adidas, Samsung and Unilever. Using all of the different platforms within the Amazon canvas (AR/VR, Alexa, Twitch, Prime Video, custom landing pages, etc.) we create campaigns that reach millions of Amazon customers across our digital channels and out in the real‑world.

  • 8 years of driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in‑house creative team.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote.
  • Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery.
  • Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines.
Qualifications

Strong conceptual presentation storytelling and time management skills, digital media experience, insight‑driven and strategical thinking, acute attention to detail and a high level of design proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint and Figma (or an interest to learn Figma). Portfolio should feature highly creative award‑winning campaigns and ideas that solve customers and advertisers’ problems across diverse media channels including video, social, digital activations, radio and outdoor.
