Job summary

This role involves monitoring construction activities, ensuring design intent is realized on-site, and coordinating between diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have at least 12 years of site-based experience on large commercial developments in the UAE, particularly mall or mixed-use projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong communication skills are essential for this position, along with a relevant Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Site Architect to join our team based in Abu Dhabi.

The Site Architect will play a key role in monitoring construction activities, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the design intent is fully realized on-site.

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Act as the primary architectural representative on-site, ensuring that the contractor's work aligns with approved design drawings and specifications.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, mock‑ups, and method statements for architectural works.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure architectural works are carried out in compliance with local regulations, codes, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors, MEP teams, structural engineers, and other disciplines to resolve design and construction issues.
  • Participate in site meetings, technical reviews, and inspections, providing architectural input and guidance.
  • Issue site instructions, review RFIs, and prepare architectural punch lists and inspection reports.
  • Ensure the timely identification and resolution of non-conformances related to architectural elements.
  • Liaise closely with the design team and project management to maintain the integrity of the design intent.
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports and documentation for client and internal use.
Qualifications

  • Previous experience with mall or mixed‑use projects in the UAE, particularly in Abu Dhabi.
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, authority regulations, and international standards.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and other relevant architectural tools
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and multi‑disciplinary drawings.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with construction methodologies, sequencing, and quality assurance processes.
