Senior UI Software Engineer – relocate to / based in Dubai – AED 35k PCM (£85k) basic TAX FREE

Global Energy Trading & Risk Management / Commodity Trading & Risk Management (ETRM / CTRM) software house seeks Software Engineer to join their Dubai (UAE) based Global HQ.

You will be an experienced UI Developer focused on building the user‑facing parts (front‑end) of software, translating complex designs into interactive, high‑quality code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks like React/Angular/Vue), mentoring junior engineers, leading technical decisions, and ensuring performance, accessibility, and a great user experience – bridging design and functionality.

You could be currently based in Dubai or keen to relocate to Dubai, but this is a Dubai‑based role 5 days per week, so you will need to be based from Dubai. My client will sponsor your UAE Emirates Work Visa, but would need to fund any relocation to Dubai.

Salary: AED 35k PCM (AED 420k PA) basic + bonus + benefits TAX FREE, which is £85k basic + bonus + benefits TAX FREE

My client is one of the world’s leading global E/CTRM software businesses, working with global leading power, gas, oil & metals trading clients. Joining a very established team of software designers, developers and business analysts in Dubai and other global offices, you will play a lead role in development of product UI across modernised products (web native, ReactJS). You will contribute to a consistent UX across all products and adhere to design standards and high standards of compliance with engineering excellence governance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Front‑end Development – design, develop and maintain responsive web interfaces using React and related technologies
• Integration & Data Visualization – collaborate with backend team to fetch and display data via RESTful APIs and other integration layers
• Collaboration – partner with backend developers to resolve API integration challenges and optimize data flow
• Performance Optimization – monitor and optimise application performance, focusing on page load speed and responsive UI behaviour
• Quality Assurance & Maintenance – write clean, maintainable and well‑documented code
• Adherence to Best Practices – follow industry‑standard coding practices, version control workflows and Agile methodologies

Key skills & experience needed

• 8 years+ experience working as a UI Developer / Engineer, developing high‑quality UI solutions ideally in a commodity trading or fintech industry, working on an event‑driven, high‑transaction‑volume solution
• Proven track record in delivering features and bug fixes in an Agile project team using SCRUM project methodology
• Knowledge and experience in branch‑based workflow (GitHub Flow)
• Career track record in modern software engineering environments with high‑frequency deployment, e.g. CI/CD utilizing Azure DevOps pipelines
