Position Overview

The Senior Sales, Revenue, and Growth Manager will be responsible for developing and executing integrated sales, pricing, and revenue management strategies to drive growth and maximize profitability across passenger train services. This role combines commercial strategy, analytical insight, and team leadership to ensure alignment between revenue optimization, sales performance, and customer engagement initiatives in support of the organization’s strategic objectives.

Roles and Responsibility
Sales and Revenue Strategy
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and revenue management strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the Commercial Director to ensure coherence between pricing, sales, and broader business objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunities, revenue streams, and growth initiatives to enhance profitability and market share.
  • Ensure sales and revenue strategies are data-driven and responsive to market trends and customer behaviors.
Pricing and Revenue Optimization
  • Oversee the development and implementation of dynamic pricing models and revenue optimization frameworks.
  • Analyze market conditions, competitive landscape, and customer demand patterns to inform pricing decisions.
  • Continuously refine pricing strategies to maximize yield and occupancy across routes and service classes.
Demand Forecasting and Data Analytics
  • Lead the demand forecasting process to anticipate passenger volumes and optimize capacity utilization.
  • Use advanced analytics to measure the effectiveness of sales and revenue strategies.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance overall revenue performance.
Sales Performance Management
  • Oversee sales planning, performance tracking, and achievement of ambitious sales targets.
  • Monitor sales metrics and KPIs, providing regular performance reports and implementing corrective measures where necessary.
  • Ensure the successful presentation and sale of onboard and related services, to maximize ancillary revenue.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies, community leaders, and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and service delivery teams to align promotional activities with revenue goals.
Forecasting, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
  • Produce regular reports on sales and revenue performance, market trends, and key commercial metrics.
  • Present insights, findings, and strategic recommendations to the Commercial Director and executive leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging feedback, analytics, and innovation to enhance commercial outcomes.
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
Academic Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field, or a related field.
Experience and Other Skills:
  • At least 10 years of experience proven experience in revenue management, pricing, or related roles, preferably in the transportation sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
