Job summary

A leading hospital in Dubai is seeking a Senior Psychology Practitioner to provide patient-centered psychological services. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, conducting psychotherapy in various modalities, and managing mental health awareness initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of mental health policies and procedures.
  • Provide clinical supervision for trainees and Master's Level Staff.
  • Conduct crisis intervention, intake assessments, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Provide psychotherapy across multiple modalities and orientations.
  • Conduct psycho-diagnostic assessment procedures.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams regarding patient management.
  • Participate in mental health awareness initiatives.
Job description

We currently have the opportunity with one of the leading hospitals in Dubai, UAE, for a Senior Psychology Practitioner.

Job Purpose

To provide patient‑centred psychological services, including assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, and psychotherapy in multiple modalities and orientations.

To develop psychological services and increase mental health awareness.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of mental health policies and procedures.
  • Provide clinical supervision for trainees and Master’s Level Staff. Conduct professional in‑service training and contribute to community‑based programs and external trainings.
  • Assume all other administrative and managerial duties in the case of serving as the Head of Section
  • Conduct crisis intervention, intake assessments and diagnostic procedures for inpatient and outpatient clients
  • Provide psychotherapy across multiple modalities (, individual, couples, family, and group) and evidence‑based theoretical orientations
  • Conduct psycho‑diagnostic assessment procedures including scoring, interpretation, and report writing (applicable to trained professionals only)
  • Provide expert advice, liaise and consult with multidisciplinary teams regarding the psychological needs of patients and families, as well as effective patient management
  • Participate in the development and execution of patient advocacy and mental health awareness initiatives
  • Maintain professional documentation and case records
  • Perform other duties as assigned
