Job description
Overview

Responsible for all Security Systems projects’ planning, execution, commissioning, training and hand-over to Clients. Ensure that all required infra-structure needs are available/ready and this cover: networking, power requirements, civil, mechanical and electrical to ensure smooth execution of the project delivery


Responsibilities


  • Project Management – communicate with consultants &/or client at time of design and construction phases to ensure suitable infra-structure requirements for the implementation; this will include review of system proposed (design, BOQ, costing, implementation plan, process, etc.).

  • Preparing or reviewing EIC developed Project Plans within agreed stakeholder timeline for all the projects in standard format (including Project Execution and Procurement Plan, Quality Plan, Risk Assessment & Resource Planning) and accepted by stakeholders (Client, EIC, Finance, ES, Presales, Quality, and Directors).

  • SPM review and Technical proposal sign off for all projects above 1million.

  • Manage EIC towards actual implementation at site and oversee, through the EIC, the work of senior technicians, technicians and occasionally labor/production employees.

  • SPM will be ultimately responsible for the supervision and if necessary hands on implementation of all testing, commissioning, corrections phase, inspection and final certification activities.

  • Produce progress reports, budget/costing report of project on hand, additional and variation work and other similar reports relevant to project execution.

  • Preparing quarterly updated resource planning including identifying Technical gaps.

  • Negotiating with internal management, suppliers and clients in reference to work deliverables, deadlines, budgets and resources allocation.

  • Train EIC on systems, panel breakdown, hardware and software and other technical aspect.

  • Establish mutually beneficial relationships with business partners and stakeholders including technical experts, industry associations, potential clients and customers.

  • Support pre-sales on design, produce BOQ with full spec/data sheets, review pre-qualification of the different products and proceed to procurement.

  • Oversees emergency breakdowns rectification and intervention.

  • Reports project data to Directors as and when required.

  • Conducts ISO awareness meetings with project teams.

  • Identifies issues and underlying components of the situation. Considers alternative solutions by weighing the potential risks and impact against the desired outcome. Recommends or implements, as necessary, the best solution(s) for resolving the problem.

  • Projects successfully handed over internally within 2 weeks of completion and externally according to MVP and client’s quality standards and based on contractual agreed time periods.

  • Providing 2 months support to the maintenance department after handover for all projects to maintenance on demand.

  • Assuring compliance with all local security laws and regulations for the Project approval, audited projects and existence of the Government and other legal licenses and permits.

  • Measuring utilization rate of teams and productivity rate on monthly basis and initiate extension of time

  • Assisting finance with account receivables/Timely submission of WIR/MIR to Finance and support in cases under Certifications if required.

  • Documenting and following project variations.

  • Delivering project at predefined budget and within agreed time.


Education


  • Diploma or Bachelor of Electrical & Electronics or Electronics and telecommunication or a general IT degree.

  • Certification – PMP, Cisco CCNA, CCNP, BCNE, CCTV (Milestone, Genetec, etc.), ACS (LENEL, KERISYS, PAXTON), Biometrics, Barriers, Bollards, Road blocker, Spike bumps, ANPR, etc.


Work Experience


  • 7 years where he is exposed to all security systems disciplines on total or turn-around projects.
