Job summary

A leading engineering and construction company is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a project in Dubai, UAE, with responsibilities including overseeing engineering activities for procurement and construction. The ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and at least 15 years of professional experience, including 10 years in a similar role. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of French or Arabic is a plus. This position will be integral to ensuring compliance with HSSE and quality standards onsite in Iraq.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer with the following details :

Location: Dubai, UAE with mission in IRAQ

Duration: 24 months with the possibility of extension

Start Date: February 2026

Qualifications / Experience required

• Mandatory experience in a similar position : 10 Years
• Degree: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Professional experience : 15 years minimum.
• Excellent knowledge in civil works & earthworks, infrastructures, engineering, construction, installation, commissioning
• Knowledge and understanding of contract management
• Project management skills (Budget / Cost / Schedule)
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Language : English as mother tongue or Fluent in English (speaking and writing), French and / or Arabic language is a plus.

Job Dimensions

• During the Detailed Engineering phase, the job holder is responsible, within the GPP team located in the engineering offices and under the GPP Package Manager, for overseeing and advising the engineering team with regards to engineering activities related to construction and procurement.
• The job holder is also in charge of the preparation of the overall construction activities to be carried out by the EPC Contractor on SITE in IRAQ (and Subcontractors).
• The job holder ensures that all HSSE, Quality and Technical contractual requirements are duly applied by EPC Contractor and all Subcontractors on the construction discipline.
• The job holder is also accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSE, ethics and "code of conduct".
