Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the UAE is seeking an experienced Senior Pipeline Designer to develop and prepare design deliverables for onshore oil and gas projects. Candidates must have over 10 years of pipeline design experience, with a strong background in FEED and detailed engineering phases, and be proficient in design software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation. Immediate availability is required.

Qualifications

About the job SENIOR PIPELINE DESIGNER

Senior Pipeline Designer will be responsible for preparing and developing pipeline design deliverables for onshore oil and gas projects during the Engineering Phase, including FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detail Design. This role requires extensive experience in pipeline design and familiarity with ADNOC standards and specifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and develop pipeline layouts, routing, alignment sheets, and other related drawings in accordance with project specifications and ADNOC standards.
  • Review and update pipeline design drawings, isometric drawings, and material take-offs (MTOs).
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Process, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation) to ensure accurate and integrated design deliverables.
  • Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Ensure that all pipeline design activities comply with project standards, applicable codes, and ADNOC requirements.
  • Assist in resolving design-related technical issues and provide support to the engineering team throughout the design phase.
  • Support constructability and operability reviews to ensure practical and efficient designs.
  • Manage documentation, drawing revisions, and as‑built updates as per project procedures.
  • Ensure all design deliverables are completed on time and meet quality and safety requirements.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pipeline design within onshore oil and gas projects.
  • Strong background in Engineering Phase FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detail Design.
  • ADNOC project experience is mandatory.
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other pipeline design tools.
  • Sound knowledge of international pipeline design codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Must be immediately available to join.
