  • Experience in category management or supply chain roles.

Senior Manager Category

Our client is a prominent operations in the energy resources sector. We are hiring a Senior Manager Category for their Supply chain division to optimize procurement and supply chain processes for key categories of goods and services essential in the business operations.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities in this role will include but not limited to :

  • Develop and execute category management strategies aligned with client objectives and market trends.
  • Conduct market research to analyze supply market dynamics and identify opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships ensuring performance quality and compliance.
  • Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms while managing risks.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans when needed.
  • Manage category budgets to ensure costeffective procurement aligned with financial targets.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead or participate in crossfunctional supply chain projects to meet category management goals.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulatory industry standards and client policies in procurement.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions and market changes.
  • Prepare and present performance reports and key metrics to senior management.
  • Develop and implement the annual operational plan in line with strategic objectives.
  • Implement operational performance indicators to track progress and success.
  • Achieve Emiratization targets according to client policies in collaboration with relevant divisions.
  • Ensure employee training for skill development in coordination with the Training & Development Department.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to employees ensuring task completion and performance tracking.
  • Ensure tasks are carried out according to established procedures.
  • Review and improve procedures processes and policies for alignment with client standards.
  • Initiate and implement performanceenhancing initiatives within the team and department.
  • Foster creativity and innovation by encouraging team participation in idea generation.
  • Promote institutional sustainability through team engagement and strategic proposal submissions.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate excellence standards and provide necessary resources.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of client data according to company policies.
  • Apply professional behavioral standards and ethics in all activities.
  • Implement security and safety standards as per client policies.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CPSM CIPS) is a must.
  • 8 to 12 years experience if you hold a Bachelors.
  • 4 to 6 years experience if you hold a Masters.
  • Experience in category management or supply chain roles with a proven track record of managing key categories and leading procurement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in procurement and supply chain management software (e.g. ERP systems like SAP Oracle) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Senior Management experience required.
