Senior Investment Consultant I
What can you expect :
- Work closely with senior consultants and analysts to deliver ongoing investment advice to a diverse range of institutional clients including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, and family offices.
- Support the design and analysis of strategic investment solutions tailored to client‑specific circumstances.
- Develop and review complex strategic asset allocations and perform asset‑liability modelling.
- Conduct manager research and selection across public and private asset classes.
- Collaborate regularly with Mercer’s specialist teams to provide integrated investment consulting solutions.
- Produce detailed client reports and investment governance documentation such as investment policy statements.
- Engage in portfolio structuring, performance monitoring, and manager oversight.
- Join a dynamic, collaborative team with a strong focus on professional development and continuous learning.
We will rely on you to :
- Assist senior consultants in preparing and delivering day‑to‑day and strategic investment advice.
- Support the development of investment strategies and complex asset‑liability models.
- Conduct manager research and portfolio structuring across multiple asset classes.
- Develop and maintain investment governance documentation and client reporting.
- Liaise with Mercer’s specialist teams to ensure comprehensive client solutions.
- Analyze investment markets, manager styles, and portfolio impacts.
- Monitor portfolio performance and manager effectiveness.
- Mentor and motivate junior team members.
What you need to have :
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related business field with strong quantitative and analytical coursework.
- 5‑10 years of investment‑related experience.
- Experience presenting to clients and working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, modelling, project management, and communication skills.
What makes you stand out :
- Pursuit of or attainment of professional qualifications such as CFA charter, Actuarial qualification, or MBA.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven experience mentoring junior staff and contributing to team development.
