Overview

Position is for Emirates

Data Architect – (7+ Years Experience)

Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics platforms
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data architectures in complex environments
• Experience leading or contributing to large data transformation initiatives

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
• Hands-on experience with:
• Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Lakehouse architectures
• ETL / ELT pipelines and data integration patterns
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with Python / Spark (or equivalent)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of streaming and real-time data architectures (Kafka, event-driven systems)
• Familiarity with BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)

Data Governance & Security

• Experience implementing data governance frameworks
• Knowledge of data quality, metadata management, lineage, and master data
• Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, local data regulations)

Architecture & Design

• Ability to define target-state data architecture and migration roadmaps
• Experience aligning data architecture with enterprise architecture and business strategy
• Strong documentation skills (architecture diagrams, standards, principles)

Leadership & Collaboration

• Experience working with cross-functional teams (business, IT, security)
• Ability to guide data engineers and analysts technically
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Master’s degree or certifications in Data Architecture / Cloud is a plus
