Job summary

A well-established Emirati construction company is seeking a Senior Cost Control Engineer to oversee project financial performance on multiple infrastructure projects. The role involves budget control, cost monitoring, and financial reporting. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and 10–12 years of relevant experience in road and infrastructure projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC. Job description

Leverage your technical leadership and join a well-established and renowned Emirati construction company, recognized for delivering complex power and energy infrastructure projects across the UAE and the wider GCC region.

As a Senior Cost Control Engineer – Roads & Infrastructure, you will play a critical role in safeguarding project financial performance through effective budget control, cost monitoring, and financial reporting across multiple infrastructure projects. You will work closely with site teams, planning, procurement, HR, and senior commercial leadership to ensure full visibility on costs, productivity, and cash flow performance — supporting timely, data-driven project decisions.

Key Accountabilities
  • Supporting the Cost Control Manager in reviewing and endorsing LPOs and subcontractor payment applications on the ERP system and maintaining accurate and up-to-date cost records.
  • Preparing and maintaining comprehensive budget review sheets for all LOIs processed through the Cost Control Department.
  • Coordinating with site teams to collect data for 3-Month Lookahead plans, Work-in-Progress status, and Monthly Dashboards.
  • Producing monthly project-wise actual cost reports and updating budget sheets with verified expenditures.
  • Participating in the preparation of monthly budget updates and cost performance reviews across projects.
  • Coordinating payment logs from site teams and supporting the preparation of collection and cash-flow reports.
  • Assisting the Cost Manager in developing revised project budgets through Candy CCS.
  • Liaising with planners, HR, and PMV teams to consolidate inputs for Weekly Progress Presentations.
  • Compiling and reviewing weekly progress updates with the Planning Manager and circulating them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting claim preparation and contractual correspondence when requested by the Planning Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • 10–12 years of experience in cost control within road and infrastructure construction projects.
  • Previous experience in the UAE or GCC is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and Candy CCS.
  • Excellent analytical and financial reporting skills.
  • Strong project coordination and stakeholder communication capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work proactively in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
