The Senior Cardiovascular Technologist will support invasive cardiac procedures and ensure smooth, efficient operations within the Cath Lab. This role requires deep expertise in Electrophysiology (EP) and device procedures, including independent operation of cardiac mapping and hemodynamic systems, as well as performing device interrogation.
Responsibilities
- Operate cardiac catheterization equipment, including hemodynamic monitoring and emergency systems.
- Independently operate EP mapping systems and hemodynamic platforms during procedures.
- Perform device interrogation and support device‑related procedures (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices).
- Scrub and assist physicians in cardiac catheterization, EP studies, ablations, and device implantation.
- Prepare patients for invasive cardiovascular procedures and administer emergency drugs when required.
- Assist consultants in selecting consumables for Cath Lab procedures.
- Assist physicians in preparing angiography and EP procedure reports.
- Remove femoral sheaths (manual or via closure device).
- Record procedures and provide relevant documentation to patients when required.
- Order, receive, and maintain consumables for the Cath Lab.
- Coordinate with vendors, biomedical engineering, and maintenance teams for equipment servicing and troubleshooting.
- Support ongoing quality improvement activities within the Cath Lab.
Requirements
- 5 years experience with Bachelor's degree (For UAE Nationals)
- 7 years experience with Bachelor's degree + 2‑year diploma (For UAE Nationals)
- 4 years with Master's degree (For Non‑UAE Nationals)
- 12 years with Bachelor's degree (For Non‑UAE Nationals)
- 14 years with Bachelor's degree + 2‑year diploma (For Non‑UAE Nationals)
- Strong experience in Electrophysiology (EP)
- Hands‑on experience with device implantation procedures
- Ability to independently operate EP mapping systems (e.g., CARTO, EnSite, Rhythmia)
- Ability to operate hemodynamic monitoring systems
- Experience performing device interrogation (pacemakers, ICDs, CRTs)
