A European-managed Cleaning and Technical Services company in Dubai is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of UAE experience, preferably in the Maid Service, Cleaning, or Facility Management sector, and possess strong skills in accounting, debt collection, and financial reconciliation.

Responsibilities
  • Accounts Receivables Management: Track and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from clients. Maintain accurate records of all receivables transactions. Follow up with clients on overdue accounts and coordinate debt collection activities.
  • Client Account Reconciliation and Invoicing: Reconcile client accounts to ensure accuracy in billing and payments. Prepare and send invoices to clients, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Accounts Payable Transactions: Process purchase requests and prepare purchase orders. Handle supplier invoice verification and cheque preparation.
  • Petty Cash Management: Maintain and record petty cash expenses accurately. Reconcile petty cash balances on a regular basis.
  • Accounting Software Management: Utilize Peachtree and QuickBooks for day-to-day accounting tasks. Ensure data accuracy and timely updates in the accounting system.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports as required by the management. Assist in monthly and yearly financial closures.
  • Administrative and Communication Tasks: Maintain organized financial records and documentation. Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients. Respond to financial inquiries and provide support as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in Maid Service, Cleaning, or Facility Management. Experience handling more than 100 employees in a firm. Experience with cleaning or blue-collar companies will be considered an added advantage.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Peachtree and QuickBooks accounting software. Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus). Knowledge of UAE debt collection and invoicing practices. Ability to work independently and handle tasks with minimal supervision.
