Responsibilities

• Safe Transportation: Pick up and drop off students at designated bus stops on time; follow assigned routes and schedules carefully.
• Pre‑Trip and Post‑Trip Inspections: Inspect the bus daily for fuel, brakes, tires, lights and emergency equipment; report mechanical issues to maintenance team or transport supervisor; maintain cleanliness inside the bus.
• Student Supervision & Safety: Ensure students board and exit the bus safely and orderly; enforce proper behavior and safety rules while on board; assist younger or special‑needs students when necessary.
• Emergency Preparedness: Know how to use fire extinguishers, first aid kits and emergency exits; follow procedures during accidents or medical emergencies; report incidents immediately to school authorities.
• Communication: Maintain good communication with transport coordinators, school administration and parents (when required); inform the school of any delays, roadblocks or issues affecting transportation; log attendance or student absences if required.
• Compliance & Recordkeeping: Follow all school transport policies, traffic laws and RTA regulations (if in UAE); maintain a valid driving license and school bus permit; keep records of maintenance, fuel use and route logs.
