A leading industrial company in the UAE seeks a qualified Scaffolding Inspector to ensure compliance with safety standards in scaffolding structures. You will conduct daily inspections, certify scaffolding before use, and maintain accurate inspection records. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in the oil and gas industry, holds a CISRS certification, and is knowledgeable about scaffolding standards. This role requires strong safety attention and training capabilities for site personnel.
Inspect scaffolding structures to ensure compliance with company industry and safety standards (e.g. OSHA BS 5975 API RP 54.
Conduct daily inspections of erected scaffolds and ensure they are safe for use.
Certify and approve scaffolding structures before use issuing appropriate inspection tags.
Ensure scaffolding materials and components meet required quality and specifications.
Coordinate with scaffolding supervisors site engineers and safety officers to maintain high safety standards.
Identify and report any hazards unsafe practices or noncompliance issues.
Provide guidance on proper scaffold erection maintenance and dismantling procedures.
Ensure all scaffolding activities comply with risk assessment and method statement (RAMS).
Maintain inspection records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Conduct training and toolbox talks for scaffolders and site personnel regarding scaffolding safety.
Investigate scaffold related incidents and recommend corrective actions.
Education: Diploma or certification in Engineering Safety or a related field (preferred).
Certifications:
CISRS (Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme) or equivalent.
OSHA or NEBOSH certification (preferred).
Scaffolding Inspection Training Certificate.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in scaffolding inspection in the oil and gas industry.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with scaffolding standards such as BS EN 12811 OSHA 1926 and API RP 54.
Strong understanding of load capacities anchorage points and structural integrity of scaffolding.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and scaffold designs.
