The Sales Executive is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth for the company’s food products and distribution services. This role involves developing sales strategies, meeting sales targets, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction in retail, hospitality, and foodservice sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in retail, HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants & Cafés), wholesale, and institutional markets.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve monthly and annual targets.
- Present and promote company products to potential clients through meetings, calls, and product demonstrations.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new customers.
- Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Resolve customer issues and coordinate with internal departments for order fulfillment and after-sales support.
Sales Operations
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM systems.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely deliveries and service quality.
Product Knowledge & Promotion
- Stay updated on the company's product portfolio, including ingredients, storage methods, and pricing.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events.
- Educate clients on product features, benefits, and usage recommendations.
Skills
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the food supply, FMCG, or distribution industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage a sales territory and work independently.
- Good understanding of supply chain and distribution processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
