The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering and 3-5 years of experience in sales engineering, especially within the elevator sector. Job description

One of our clients in Dubai is looking for Sales Engineer, responsible for identifying and engaging with existing and prospective customers, driving spare parts sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market mapping & customer segmentation: Identify and categorize current and potential customers (OEMs, installers, maintenance firms, etc.) across UAE to create a clear view of market potential.
  • Sales development: Take direct responsibility for growing the sales of spare parts, starting from zero; investigate current buying behaviors and understand why the existing installed base is not sourcing from company.
  • Customer engagement: Regularly visit customers, prospects, and industry stakeholders to present company’s product offering, understand their needs, and position us as a reliable and innovative partner.
  • Brand protection: Monitor and report on counterfeit activity in the market; educate customers about risks of copy products and promote the quality, safety, and reliability of genuine company parts.
  • Opportunity management: Understand customer purchasing patterns (“buy‑mix”) and identify ways to increase sales through value selling, bundling, or service‑related offers.
  • Market intelligence: Actively gather market feedback, track competitor activity, and provide insights to local and global teams to adapt commercial strategies.
  • Operational sales interface: Act as the go‑to person for all operational sales activities in UAE, providing local presence and proactive communication in Arabic with customers and partners.
  • Internal collaboration: Work closely with the Sales & Business Development Manager – Middle East, technical teams, factories and headquarters to align on pricing, product availability, and service levels.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics) or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical‑commercial or sales engineering role, preferably in the elevator or industrial equipment sector.
  • Knowledge of elevator components is mandatory.
  • Strong customer‑facing skills with a proactive, commercial mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English – verbal and written.
  • High energy, self-driven, and able to operate autonomously in a field‑based role.
  • Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills to assess market potential and barriers.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Emirates.
