About the role

The primary responsibility of the BMS/Controls Sales Engineer is to achieve the established financial objectives while strictly adhering to Carrier’s Code of Ethics as well as the company’s Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and Quality Management System standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generating inquiries through market visits to contractors, consultants, end users, and FM companies.
  • Create controls/BMS sales opportunities by meeting customers.
  • Forecast and achieve sales and booking for the month.
  • Follow up on the quotation status with the customer, understand requirements and coordinate with application engineers to fulfill customer needs.
  • Obtain factory/supplier prices by completing formalities and required documents.
  • Review standard sales contracts and reach agreement with customers (payment LC, warranty, etc.) and follow the approval process.
  • Review and transition sales orders with costing to the Controls Operations Team in coordination with Finance for sales‑order approval.
  • Follow payment terms guidelines and conditions as instructed by the Finance Department and assist in collections.
  • Participate in weekly/monthly sales review, aging, and collection meetings.
  • Review and approve sheet cost and quotation according to the approval matrix.
  • Review monthly online backlog report.
  • Ensure customers are periodically updated on the latest software catalogs and information from Carrier.
  • Create quotations inline with specifications.
  • Perform technical submittals and clarifications with order finalization in coordination with the sales manager.
  • Ensure proper invoices are issued by sales coordinators.
  • Follow up on the delivery process with logistics.
  • Follow up on payment & collection terms in coordination with the finance department.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 4‑5 years of relevant experience in the same or similar industry, preferably in UAE.
  • Thorough knowledge of the market and HVAC controls/BMS products, chiller plant management.
  • Experience with Total Quality Management and ISO processes & procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with excellent negotiation and computer skills.
