Job summary

A leading independent Fund Services firm is seeking an Associate Manager in Abu Dhabi to drive sales opportunities throughout Europe and the Middle East. This full-time, permanent role requires a collaborative, target-driven individual with experience in hedge funds and private markets. Key responsibilities include generating new business through various methods, managing sales campaigns, and establishing industry relationships. Hired candidates will work closely with the sales team while helping to enhance the firm's brand awareness.

Qualifications

  • Professional fluency in English is essential, and Arabic is beneficial.
  • Bachelors’ degree in finance, economics or related area is advantageous.
  • Pre-Sales / Business Development experience in financial services technology is preferred.

SS&C GlobeOp (SS&C) is a leading independent Fund Services business with offices in multiple jurisdictions including Canada, Dubai, Dublin, France, German, Hong Kong, London, Luxembourg, New York, Singapore and Switzerland. We are actively seeking a new Sales Development Representative who will be responsible for identifying and facilitating new sales opportunities across Europe and the Middle East. The individual will have primary responsibility for running and managing sales campaigns across SS&C’s full range of fund services solutions.

This role would suit a collaborative, target driven, structured and hungry business development executive passionate about winning new business. The preferred candidate must have hedge funds and private markets experience.

Responsibilities
  • Professional fluency in English and Arabic would be beneficial.
  • Help generate new business opportunities through a variety of methods, including cold calling, marketing campaigns, industry events and conferences.
  • Build campaigns with the sales lead to help generate new leads
  • Help build a strong pipeline within Alternatives Investment space (e.g. Private Equity, Real Assets, Private & Public Debt, Hedge Funds, Asset Owners).
  • Qualify potential prospects quickly to determine their suitability for a particular SS&C solution.
  • Book qualified leads for the sales leads.
  • Track all sales activities and touchpoints in SS&C’s CRM system to ensure timely, accurate and complete information is represented on sales and management reporting.
  • Assist to prepare prospect engagement documentation, including discovery calls, on-site and virtual presentations, product demonstrations, follow-up meetings.
  • Follow up on all prospect activities in a timely manner. There must be an astute strategy and execution plan for each prospect interaction.
  • Build strong industry relationships with prospects and expand your professional network within the alternative investment space.
  • Work with Sales to prepare detailed write-ups on prospects that include a well-defined strategy, tactics and prospect backgrounds to ensure internal resources and subject matter experts are prepared and briefed for sales presentations.
  • Help build the firm’s brand and increase brand awareness to generate quality leads
  • Attend industry events/conferences.
  • Build solid industry knowledge to help with Whitepapers
  • Assist the sales team with reporting
Experience
  • Pre-Sales / Business Development experience in the financial services technology industry or industry experience from working within financial institutions engaging c-suite
Competencies
  • Professional fluency in English
  • Bachelors’ degree in finance, economics or related area is advantageous
  • Ability to make ‘cold calls’
  • Excellent communication and writing skills including independent client facing presentations.
  • Ability to initiate, develop and maintain relationships and can represent SS&C both internally and externally.
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, a quick learner and will be expected to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
  • Self-motivated and driven to deliver strong result.
