The Sales and Events Manager is responsible for selling, planning and delivering high-quality events across a variety of formats, ensuring exceptional client experience, commercial performance, and operational excellence. The role focuses on client-facing sales and event execution, from concept through delivery and post-event evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of corporate, public, and private events.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships from enquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Take ownership of enquiries assigned and prepare compelling client proposals, presentations, timelines, and event concepts tailored to client needs.
- Develop detailed event budgets, costings, and commercial proposals, ensuring margin control and showcasing effective negotiation skills with clients and suppliers.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of events
- Manage on-site event operations, including event setup, delivery, and breakdown.
- Identify risks and resolve issues proactively during event planning and delivery.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the UAE events market, suppliers, and best practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in event management within the UAE.
- Proven experience delivering events within an Agency (DMC, agency, hospitality, or Tourism) or Venue (hotels, convention centres, outdoor venues, or other event environments)
- Fluent in English, Arabic is highly advantageous
- Valid UAE driving licence.
- Proficient in MS Office, including PowerPoint (client presentations) and Excel (costing and budgets).
Preferred / Advantageous
- Pre-opening experience supporting or launching an events venue.
- Established network of local suppliers and industry contacts.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Events, Hospitality, Business or related field.
- Working experience with CRM and Event Software’s
