Job summary

A leading construction firm in Ras Al Khaimah seeks a dedicated Safety Officer to ensure a safe and compliant working environment at construction sites. The role involves implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture among workers and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Occupational Health & Safety and 2-5 years of experience in construction safety standards. Strong communication and leadership skills will be essential for this position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
  • Relevant safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce site-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) plans.
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections and hazard assessments.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.
  • Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors on safety matters.
  • Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation.
  • Stop unsafe work practices and recommend corrective measures.
