Job summary

A leading recruitment consultancy in the UAE is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or Occupational Health and Safety, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in construction supervision. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety measures, reviewing safety documents, and organizing safety meetings to enhance performance while preventing accidents. The position also requires knowledge of local safety regulations and certifications such as NEBOSH IGC.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor corporate HSE policies, plans, targets and legal requirements, suggesting improvements to enhance safety performance.


• Ensure client safety requirements are met and liaise with the safety manager and contractors for effective HSE management.


• Monitor contractors' adherence to safety measures on-site, ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements.


• Review safety-related documents such as Site Safety Plans, Emergency Plans, Method Statements and Risk Analyses and conduct regular HSE inspections.


• Organize monthly safety meetings, review incident reports and ensure corrective actions are taken to prevent accidents and improve safety practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or occupational health and safety.


• Minimum 8 years experience.


• Prior HSE experience in construction supervision of roads, bridges, underpass or infrastructure projects in UAE.


• Health and Safety education certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, Safety Diploma, First Aid, Fire Safety etc.


• Working knowledge of Dubai Municipality Code of Construction Safety Practice, Technical Guidelines, RTA Circulars and Work Zone Traffic Management Manual.
