Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Resident Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to be seconded to the Al Dhafra Region Municipality (DRM) office to provide technical and administrative support for engineering projects within the municipality.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Al Dhafra Region Municipality office and external contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Review project proposals, designs, and schedules to ensure alignment with municipal requirements and objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., planning, infrastructure, and environmental teams) to facilitate project approvals and permits.
  • Review and provide feedback on engineering designs, technical submittals, and project documentation.
  • Ensure that all designs and plans comply with local codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to the municipality on engineering matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including correspondence, approvals, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to the municipality on project status, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to address project-related issues.
  • Represent the municipality in technical discussions and negotiations with external parties.
  • Ensure that all projects under the municipality’s jurisdiction comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Monitor contractor and consultant performance to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and municipal expectations.
  • Assist the municipality in preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and awarding contracts.
  • Provide support in resolving disputes or conflicts related to engineering projects.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
  • Minimum 15 yeas experience in infrastructure projects especially in Wet utilities.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in engineering coordination, project management, or municipal engineering roles.
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in reviewing engineering designs, technical documents, and project plans.
  • Knowledge of municipal regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Ability to work in an office environment while managing multiple priorities.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
  • Experience working with government entities or municipalities is highly preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license (if required for occasional site visits or meetings).
