Responsibilities
- Manage guest bookings and inquiries to deliver a seamless and personalized experience, optimizing occupancy and revenue.
- Serve as a primary contact for guests, utilizing market trends to maximize revenue and ensure a professional booking experience.
- Handle inquiries via telephone, email, and fax promptly and courteously.
- Process reservations using the property management system, maintaining detailed records and guest preferences.
- Apply seasonal and historical trends to support occupancy and rate strategies.
- Upsell and leverage rate strategies to maximize revenue with tailored room options.
- Provide quotations and confirmations with clear communication.
- Identify new business opportunities and coordinate with the Sales team.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns proactively.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel services, policies, and facilities to assist guests confidently.
- Ensure bookings are secured correctly and charges for no-shows or cancellations are processed appropriately.
- Support guest requests and modifications from inquiry to arrival.
- Collaborate with Revenue, Sales, and Front Office teams for accuracy in bookings.
- Apply customer service skills and attention to detail consistently.
- Maintain reservation records and generate reports as needed.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of reservations or front office experience in a luxury or high-end hotel.
- Proficiency in reservation systems (e.g., Opera, SynXis) and understanding of booking procedures.
- Strong IT skills and familiarity with administrative and reporting tools.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a luxury environment.
- Ability to multitask and work calmly under pressure.
- Positive attitude and dedication to customer service excellence.
- Commercial awareness with knowledge of revenue strategies.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Guest-focused mindset with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
Preferred additional skills include knowledge of property management systems, prior experience in luxury hotel reservations, and proven sales ability in the hotel/leisure sector.
