University (UAEU) invites applications for a research associate position starting April 2026 to work on a research project in the area of construction materials and concrete technology. The candidate will support the faculty investigators in various areas of concrete technology, including material characterization, mixture proportioning, performance evaluation, microstructure characterization, etc. Suitable candidates MUST have: 1. A Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. 2. A Master of Science in civil engineering. Have documented evidence (thesis, journal articles, and/or conference papers) of relevant experience in the field of concrete technology (material characterization, mixture proportioning, performance evaluation, microstructure characterization).
Applicant should have at least M.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering. Applicant should have experience in concrete mix design, 3D concrete printing, laboratory work (e.g. casting, testing, fixing strain gauges, etc.), data collection and data analysis. Applicant should have intent to pursue PhD in Civil Engineering at UAEU, as applicable.
A Ph.D. in the field is considered an asset, as applicable. Applicant should demonstrate interest in carrying out research and working under tight deadlines.
