Make your mark as GCCNA Reinsurance Manager

The Reinsurance Manager will be responsible for all local reinsurance activities in the GCC and North Africa cluster at AIG.

Key tasks include but are not limited to
  • Annual treaty renewal
  • FAC purchasing as needed by underwriting teams
  • Appointing reinsurance brokers
  • Monitoring reinsurance collections and payables
  • Following up on claims resolutions and collections with reinsurers
How you will create an impact

The RI manager will also be required to review facultative submissions on the Internal and External systems (AIG RI Connect) prior to release to the market and ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate reinsurance strategies guidelines and risk appetites. The RI Manager will have to build the local RI function and maintain proper RI reports. Occasionally they will be required to work closely with the governance functions to report to local regulators.

What you’ll need to succeed
  • Reinsurance experience and technical knowledge across different lines of business is preferred, particularly commercial property, financial lines, casualty and marine cargo.
  • Underwriting or RI broking background.
  • Strong relationships with the reinsurance markets locally in the DFIC and London (Singapore is a plus).
  • Ability to build internal relationships with profit centre teams.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong service orientation.
  • Fluency in English is a must. Arabic a plus.
