Job summary

A healthcare organization in the United Arab Emirates seeks a skilled Hemodialysis RN to oversee dialysis treatments and provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and 2 to 6 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include monitoring patient information, conducting assessments, and collaborating with the medical team. Experience with adult and pediatric hemodialysis is essential. This role requires current local licensing and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 6 years working experience as Hemodialysis RN.
  • Current valid registration in country of training.
  • DOH-HAAD Licensed.
  • Eligible for DHA / MOH licensing.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee dialysis treatment from start to finish.
  • Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
  • Cannulate accesses and secure blood works.
  • Teach patients post-treatment care and conduct assessments.
  • Cooperate with dialysis technicians.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Prime dialyzer and bloodlines.
  • Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
  • Oversee dialysis treatment from start to finish.
  • Cannulate accesses.
  • Clean and dress permanent and temporary catheters.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret and record information.
  • Identify irregular dialysis reactions and notify appropriate medical team members.
  • Secure blood works.
  • Teach patients and significant others how to manage illness by explaining post‑treatment home care needs, diet/nutrition/exercise programs, and self‑administration of medications if needed.
  • Maintain medical inventory.
  • Provide pre‑ and post‑procedure care to patients.
  • Perform other position‑related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.
  • Conduct home visit assessment for home hemodialysis admission.
  • Follow nephrologist orders.
  • Conduct assessment of a patient when indicated.
  • Recommend changes in treatment based on current patient needs.
  • Facilitate communication between patient and family on one side and the training team on the other.
  • Cooperate with and provide oversight and directions to dialysis technicians.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
Qualifications

Qualification, Education and Experience

ESSENTIAL

PREFERRED

Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing in home country.
  • Active Basic Life Support Training – Certified.
  • Critical care qualification.
  • Hemodialysis (Adult & Pedia) and General.
  • BLS (for adult patients).
Experience
  • 2 to 6 years working experience as Hemodialysis RN.
Licensure and Certification
  • Current valid registration in country of training and/or country of last employment (Local License-PRC).
  • DOH‑HAAD (Health Authority Abu Dhabi‑UAE) Licensed.
  • Eligible for DHA / MOH licensing.
