Job summary

A major real estate firm in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a General Accountant to manage financial and accounting activities for development projects. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with 5-8 years of experience. Strong expertise in project accounting and advanced skills in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel and Power BI, are essential. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations and managing project costs effectively.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate development or construction.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Manage general ledger activities and month-end closing.
• Track and control project costs and maintain WIP schedules.
• Oversee AP and AR processes ensuring accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and IFRS.
