As a Quantity Surveyor at ARCHCORP, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Preparing cost plans and cost estimates.
  • Handling pre and post contract correspondence.
  • Conducting quantity take-offs and cost calculations for architectural, ID, structural, and MEP works.
  • Preparing Bills of Quantities and contract conditions based on standard contract conditions (FIDIC) as applicable in the UAE.
  • Creating tender documents, clarifications, and addendums.
  • Evaluating and analyzing contractor's tender submissions.
  • Preparing Letters of Acceptance (LOAs) and contract agreements.
  • Evaluating, negotiating, and selecting suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Writing specifications with up-to-date knowledge of materials and their applications.
  • Verifying contractor's interim and final payment certificates.
  • Evaluating and reporting on provisional sum and PC rate items.
  • Handling variations and finalizing them.
  • Preparing cost budgets and pricing for contract variations.
  • Monitoring project cost and providing cost reports.
  • Utilizing cost planning, estimating, cost analysis, cost-in-use studies, and value management techniques to establish project budgets.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.

2-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the UAE or a similar region, with expertise in Pre-Contract and Post-Contract phases.

Familiarity with UAE construction laws, regulations and building codes.

Knowledge of standard methods of measurements, POMI.

Membership in relevant professional organizations is a plus but not mandatory.
