Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to implement and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with project specifications and ISO 9001. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a Supervision Consultant environment. The ideal candidate will be a Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor with strong knowledge of quality standards and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
• Strong knowledge of construction inspections, testing, and quality standards.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with project specifications standards and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Review assess and approve contractor submittals including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) method statements and material approvals.
• Monitor and witness inspections and tests of construction works to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct regular site quality inspections and audits to verify adherence to approved drawings specifications and standards.
• Identify quality issues non-conformances and deviations and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain quality reports records and documentation for all QA/QC activities.
• Coordinate with project teams contractors and consultants to ensure proper quality control practices are implemented.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
• Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement across the project.

Key Qualification:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Civil Mechanical Electrical or relevant discipline).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in QA/QC within a Supervision Consultant environment.
• Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
• Experience in reviewing and approving contractor submittals (ITPs method statements material approvals).
• Strong knowledge of construction inspections testing and quality standards.
• Ability to identify quality issues and recommend corrective/preventive measures.
• Certified Quality Professional (e.g. ASQ CQI IRCA) is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication reporting and coordination skills.
