Overview

Black & Grey HR is recruiting a QA / QC Manager for our client – a leading LED lighting manufacturer based in Sharjah. The role is crucial in driving product excellence by implementing and maintaining robust quality systems in compliance with international standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, deep technical know-how, and a passion for continuous improvement across all quality processes from manufacturing to supplier and market feedback.

Responsibilities

• Quality Strategy & System Development: Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and UAE regulations; define and track key quality metrics and performance indicators; present data-driven insights to senior leadership; standardize and enforce SOPs at all quality checkpoints (incoming, in-process, final).
• Product & Process Quality: Supervise inspection and testing of LED luminaires, drivers, and electronic assemblies; Ensure adherence to photometric (LM-79, LM-80), electrical (IEC), and environmental (RoHS, CE, BIS, SASO, BEE) standards; Drive internal audits, defect analysis, and corrective actions across all production stages.
• Supplier & Vendor Quality: Lead vendor assessments, audits, and qualification aligned with ISO and technical benchmarks; Implement control plans at supplier sites; enforce compliance for OEM and raw material suppliers; Provide structured feedback on incoming quality, track CAPA implementation, and validate improvements; Review and approve vendor packaging and labeling for compliance with specs and regulations.
• Customer & Field Feedback: Investigate field complaints and product returns; implement CAPA with cross-functional collaboration; Interface with R&D and service teams to resolve product issues and enhance performance; Benchmark competitor offerings to support product upgrades and improvements.
• People & Culture: Mentor and upskill QA / QC team members on tools like FMEA, RCA, 8D, SPC, CAPA, MSA; Cultivate a quality-driven culture through QC circles, Kaizen, and continuous learning programs; Develop succession planning within the QA / QC function.
• Compliance & Certification: Ensure compliance with CE, RoHS, BIS, BEE, SASO, ESMA, EQM, ECAS, and related certifications; Prepare for internal and third-party audits and manage documentation of test reports and calibrations; Oversee timely renewals and updates of all mandatory certifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering preferred; Diploma holders with strong experience may apply.
• Minimum 10 years in QA / QC, with at least 7 years in LED lighting or electronics manufacturing.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 5S, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing.
• Familiar with photometric and electrical testing protocols (LM-79, LM-80, IEC).
• Proficient in SPC, CAPA, RCA, MSA, FMEA, and ERP systems.
• Certified Six Sigma Green / Black Belt, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
• Experience in smart lighting / IoT lighting systems.
• Familiarity with digital QMS platforms or MES / ERP systems.
