Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a QA / QC Engineer - Mechanical for a permanent role in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10-15 years of experience in mechanical QA/QC for oil and gas projects. Responsibilities include overseeing inspections, implementing quality procedures, and preparing QA/QC reports for clients. ISO 9001:2015 certification and strong welding/NDT knowledge are required.

QA / QC Engineer - Mechanical

Location: UAE

Contract: Permanent / Full-time

Immediate joiners will be prioritised

Role Purpose

Ensure mechanical project quality is delivered in accordance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements. Oversee inspections, supervise QC teams, and implement quality procedures to maintain high standards across all mechanical construction and pre-commissioning activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10-15 years' experience in mechanical QA / QC within oil and gas projects
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification
  • CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, or equivalent approved welding certification
  • ADNOC approval or similar experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of welding, NDT, and coating / painting processes
  • Experience with HVAC systems, equipment, materials, and quality activities for construction and pre-commissioning
  • Computer literate with strong written and spoken English, including technical report writing
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and implement contract quality requirements and project specifications
  • Prepare and implement project-specific quality procedures and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Plan, monitor, and control project quality inspections
  • Prepare weekly and monthly QA / QC reports for client submission
  • Supervise and coordinate QC Inspectors
  • Attend internal progress review meetings
  • Conduct quality inductions and toolbox talks
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with construction teams and third-party inspection agencies
  • Attend client and vendor meetings as required
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
