Job summary

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and culturally aware Public Relations & Community Liaison Officer to join our Abu Dhabi team. This role will focus primarily on government relations activities, as well as taking on a strong support role in strengthening community engagement activities for RSK across the UAE.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Government Liaison
  • Handle all activities related to the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE), Ministry of Interior (MOI), and other government departments in Abu Dhabi and Dubai Emirates.
  • Process and renew company trade licenses, establishment cards, and other legal documents.
  • Manage visa applications, cancellations, and renewals for employees.
  • Process employee registration, updates, and monthly contributions for ADPF (Abu Dhabi Pension Fund)/GPSSA (General Pension & Social Security Authority) for Emirati employees.
  • Coordinate with government authorities for approvals for special permits (such as CICPA, gate passes), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Handle attestations, legalisations, Tawtheeq and Ejari processing, civil defense certificates, and other tasks as may be necessary.
  • Undertake minor translation tasks (e.g., letters and forms) and review technical translations of reports prior to submission to clients and relevant governmental authorities.
  • Liaise with the current outsourced PRO agency with the overall aim of taking full control of all government liaison and compliance functions internally.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all government transactions.
  • Monitor and update compliance with UAE trade and labour regulations, including WPS (Wage Protection System).
  • Support compliance with Emiratisation requirements, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Assist in audits and inspections by government bodies.
Employee Support
  • Guide employees through visa and residency processes including facilitation of medical screening and biometric appointments related to residency visas.
  • Support onboarding by ensuring timely issuance of work permits and Emirates IDs.
  • Deliver cultural inductions to new starters, curating relevant information.
  • Coordinate with project teams for site mobilisation documents, gate passes, access cards, and authority approvals.
Community Engagement & Liaison
  • Participate in engagements with local universities and schools, collaborating with HR to support STEM initiatives and promote internships, research projects, and recruitment opportunities.
  • Assist in organising and supporting ENHG events that contribute to environmental awareness and education.
  • Build connections with key stakeholders at events to enhance the company’s community involvement.
  • Provide on-the-ground support during local fieldwork activities requiring community outreach or liaison.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key government ministries to assist with registrations, applications, and licensing processes.
  • Monitor key announcements and news related to community engagement and environmental efforts.
Person specification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a PRO/community liaison in the UAE — preferably within oil and gas, engineering, or construction sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE labour law, immigration procedures, and government portals (e.g., Tasheel, ADPF, Nafis, MOHRE, etc).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to think critically and work proactively.
  • Good team player, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Enthusiastic and well organised.
  • A full driving license.
