Job summary

A leading global e-commerce company based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Manager for their Operations integration team. The right candidate will lead automation trials, manage vendor relationships, and conduct physical testing of new equipment. Candidates should have a solid understanding of Electrical/Mechanical systems and experience in data analysis. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects and meet challenging timelines while ensuring compliance during the trial phases.

  • Ability to train others in lab practices.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Job description

We are a team with an aim to introduce Low Cost Automation solution to AMET region.

Key Responsibilities

The right candidate will be helping the Operations integration team in below activities:

Administration
  • PO/Vendor management delivery tracking with vendors.
  • Support on the floor for Projects during the trials/pilot phase.
  • Data Recording for projects during trial/pilot phase (through Amazon portals time motion studies).
  • Project updates and Office hours to different teams during roll out or pilot phase (when required only).
  • Push compliance for the trial/pilot phase for any new idea on the floor.
  • Concept design/model designing from AutoCAD.
  • Using the lab 3D printing machine for prototypes.
New Physical Lab testing equipment
  • Leading the Lab equipment running.
  • Owning the Equipment usage intake by other teams.
  • Expert in basic troubleshooting of equipments (training will be provided).
  • Responsible for any meeting delegation coming to Lab (Basic settings of lab updating the docs projects in the lab showing the lab around).
  • Should be able to train others.
  • Responsible for any new testing for site assessment tests.
Key job responsibilities
  • Projects administration.
  • Physical testing of new equipments.
  • Connecting with new Vendors for equipments to create MENA's Own vendor base.
  • Lab coordinator for any internal or external visits.
A day in the life

The right candidate has the ability to lead other technicians/project team members design solutions for challenging problems, manage outside vendors, be on call for emergencies to handle multiple projects and daily activities, and meet tough timelines.

About the team
  • Experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Communication/Instrumentation and Controls.
  • 1 year of conveyors/automation/control systems maintenance experience.
  • Experience in data analysis with the ability to interpret and draw insights from data to inform decision-making processes.
