About Us
Core42 is a leader in AI-powered cloud and digital infrastructure, driving transformative technology solutions at national and global scale. As the UAE’s sovereign cloud and generative AI enabler, Core42 combines G42 Group’s deep expertise across cloud, HPC, cybersecurity, and managed services into a single platform supporting public sector and large enterprise transformation programs.
With a mission to redefine digital transformation, Core42 delivers secure, scalable, and high-performance AI infrastructure tailored for environments with stringent regulatory and sovereignty requirements. We are building the foundations of national-scale AI capability across the Middle East and beyond.
The Opportunity
As Project Manager – AI Factory PMO, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-density global data center and AI compute infrastructure programs. This includes new builds, expansions, and upgrades supporting AI, GPU, and HPC workloads.
You will be accountable for full lifecycle project delivery — from project charter definition, vendor selection and procurement, through data center fit-out, GPU and peripheral installation, to final operational handover. Operating at the intersection of infrastructure, AI compute, and large-scale program governance, this role is critical to ensuring delivery excellence, de-risking execution, and enabling Core42’s next phase of AI infrastructure expansion.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the full end-to-end project management lifecycle for global data centre and AI/GPU infrastructure programs, from business requirements and design through execution, commissioning, and operational handover.
- Define project charters and governance frameworks, including scope, objectives, milestones, budgets, DC readiness, and offtake use cases in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and actively manage detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies, and resource allocations, ensuring delivery against quality, cost, and schedule targets.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, RAID logs, change requests, meeting minutes, and technical handover documentation.
- Work closely with the PMO Office to ensure accurate and timely updates to PMO trackers, dashboards, and reporting, and provide structured retrospectives at project completion.
- Conduct stakeholder mapping and proactively manage communications across internal teams, vendors, and executive leadership (including ELT), ensuring alignment and early mitigation of risks or deviations.
- Proactively identify, monitor, and manage project risks and issues, escalating where required and driving timely resolution.
- Facilitate and lead workshops with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, align deliverables, and track execution progress.
- Establish, manage, and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring Statements of Work are fit for purpose and vendor performance is actively managed.
- Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Engineers, and internal functions including risk, compliance, security, legal, finance, supply chain, and procurement to enable timely infrastructure procurement and deployment.
- Oversee pre-deployment, deployment, and post-deployment installation and commissioning activities, including on-site coordination as required to ensure smooth logistics and execution.
- Support the transition of infrastructure into operations, working with transition managers to ensure complete documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of PMO standards, methodologies, processes, and templates to support consistent, scalable delivery across the program portfolio.
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrable project management experience delivering complex data centre, AI, GPU, and HPC infrastructure programs, including high-density power, advanced cooling, and constrained hardware supply chains.
- Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure components, including power, cooling, compute, networking, and cloud platforms.
- Degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile / Scrum.
- Proven experience managing multi-vendor ecosystems, budgets, schedules, and executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of risk, security, HSE, and compliance requirements in critical infrastructure environments (e.g., NIST).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar.
- Familiarity with AI technologies, machine learning, GPU/HPC architectures, and associated platforms and tooling.
- Knowledge of industry standards including Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE, and experience with Tier III data centre design and construction.
- Experience delivering infrastructure and software deployments at regional, national, hyperscale, or sovereign-cloud scale.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with competing priorities and high delivery expectations.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and ownership mindset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and hands-on approach to problem solving.
What We Look For
We are seeking performance-driven, resilient individuals who thrive in ambiguity and operate with a strong bias for action. You will bring curiosity, discipline, and a passion for building meaningful partnerships while delivering outcomes at scale.
