Role Overview:

EDF is seeking an experienced Project Management Officer (PMO) to join the LIGHTNING Project team. Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for overall project control, risk management, schedule and cost tracking, and coordination with contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the central interface between project packages, ensuring reporting on costs, schedules, and risks.
  • Ensure consistency of actual and forecasted project data (costs, schedules, risks, contracts).
  • Prepare monthly reports in collaboration with Package Managers, contract managers, and financial leads.
  • Monitor and report on key project actions for commissioning.
Risk Management:
  • Identify, assess, control, and report project risks in coordination with technical package managers (including quantitative calculations for contingencies).
  • Select and report major risks related to project commissioning to the Project Director.
  • Ensure alignment between quantitative risk assessments and budgetary contingencies (CAPEX).
Contractor Collaboration:
  • Define reporting requirements for contractors (costs, schedules, physical progress, risks).
Reporting:
  • Provide necessary reports (costs, risks, schedules) to Package Managers, the Construction Director, and indirectly to lenders and the SPC Board.
  • Oversee risk and schedule processes and reporting for main contractors.
Required Profile:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in project management, preferably in a technical environment.
  • Key Skills: Proficiency in project control tools (costs, schedules, risks), ability to model scenarios, excellent communication, and coordination skills.
  • Technical background is a plus.
  • Languages: Fluent English (French is a plus).
